2nd Annual Shinnenkai

by Lynn Moyers on January 14, 2014

Thanks to great support from the community, this event is sold out. We’re looking forward to a great party!

JASO is excited to announce our 2nd Annual Shinnenkai celebration. Join us on the evening of January 16, 2014 for a traditional Japanese celebration filled with fun, food, and entertainment.

Shinnenkai is the Japanese tradition of welcoming the arrival of the New Year. A Shinnenkai is generally held among co-workers or friends in January. Like the many festivals (matsuri) and celebrations that the Japanese are known for, Shinnenkai is a traditional Japanese way of getting together to celebrate a new year and to make promises to each other to do their best for this year while wishing each other good luck and fortune.
