Discover the Saké Brewing Industry

by Lynn Moyers on May 27, 2016

Corporate Connections is a program for JASO members that allows us to tour a member facility, meet expert executives, and get an inside look into an industry that has a unique US-Japan connection.

On Thursday June 23rd we visit SakéOne, the first premium craft saké brewer in the USA. Established originally as an importer of Japanese saké, SakéOne opened its first kura (brewery) in 1997, and now produces 80,000 cases of saké each year.

JASO members will have the opportunity to meet the brew master and company executives, while learning the step-by-step process of manufacturing saké. From processes to distribution, bottle design to international relations, logistics to sustainability, bring your questions and enjoy the post-tour tasting and networking. Light appetizers also provided.

From 6pm to 8pm, with tours at 6pm and 6:30pm.

SakeOne, 820 Elm St, Forest Grove, OR 97116

Members $10, Non-members $15
