Sat Nov 21, Toyama Cup College Speech Contest

by Lynn Moyers on October 26, 2020

JASO believes that promoting education and working with young people is a central component of building a stronger relationship between our community and Japan. If we want to be successful tomorrow, we have to invest our resources today.

We have a number of companies that specifically donate to our education programs, and a whole host of volunteers who work to actually make it happen. We literally, could not do this work without you. Thank you.

The Toyama Cup this year was postponed from April due to Covid, and is now taking place the week before Thanksgiving. The event brings college students together in friendly competition to explore and advance their Japanese language skills, and possibly winning a free trip to Oregon’s sister state of Toyama-ken!

Even though this event is not open to the general public to watch, help us celebrate by liking this, or sharing on your social media or with friends.

And by the way – perhaps you know a student in college who is studying Japanese? There’s still time to enter; just click right here!
