Shishimai Project

JASO has the honor of supporting the growth of and exposure to traditional Japanese arts in our community by supporting local artist Eien Hunter-Ishikawa and his shishimai project. Born in Japan, Eien is a renowned musician and educator with a deep passion and long history of study in traditional Japanese music, arts, and culture. JASO is helping Eien by acting as the project fiscal sponsor.

Eien’s goal is to raise $15,000 to pay all direct costs associated with the purchase of the shishigashira (lion head) and other materials needed to perform the shishimai. By donating here, up to 100% of your donation is tax-deductible. Check with your tax professional for details.
