We’re thrilled to welcome two new part-time staff members to JASO at the start of 2026.
Ellesa “Ellie” Forsberg joins us as an Office Assistant, mainly supporting Kaoru direct her programs with some general office work alongside. Ellie graduated from PSU in 2020, majoring in Anthropology with a minor in Japanese. She studied abroad at Waseda and worked in Japan in the English language scene.
Nadia Chandler joins staff, transitioning from her prior role as a contractor with us, as our Japanese Language Instructor. Nadia holds a degree in Foreign Studies from Osaka University, and a Masters in Theology. She has been working in language education for more than twenty years and speaks several tongues herself.
Nadia will teach the majority of our group classes over Winter and Spring terms, plus some private classes too.
