Business
JASO works to develop business in two separate ways. First through our business programs, described below. Second, as a member-based organization, through member services we spend significant resources connecting individual requests and needs to people and places that we know can help.
- Business Speaker Series events bring experienced executives offering insight into US-Japan trade and business relations.
- Women’s Leadership Council events support Japanese, Japanese-American, and API women in the workplace through workshops, seminars, and networking programs.
- NEXT (Young Pro) is a diverse group of young professionals aged 21-35, helping to lead our community into the future of the US-Japan relationship.
- Entrepreneurs committee supports the Prosper Portland program to bring Japanese and local entrepreneurs and businesses together to create and deepen relationships
- Corporate Connections events are where member organizations promote their products and services with facility tours, inviting members to discover how Japan-related industries and businesses operate.
- After Hours events are social events to widen your network of like-minded professionals, and deepen relationships with other members.
Additionally, JASO also offers Japanese language and corporate culture curriculum:
- Japanese Language Classes are offered for all levels of learning, with group and private class options available. Classes are available for JASO Members only.
- Language & Corporate Culture Curriculum tailored to businesses’ specific needs for their employees. Currently available for Corporate Members at the Silver Membership Level and above.
