From JASO to those in the Noto Peninsula and surrounding areas

令和6年能登半島地震による被害を目の当たりにし、悲しみにたえません。被災された方々、避難されている方々、並びに復旧作業に関わっている方々に心からお見舞いを申し上げます。今後の活動を通じて、微力ながら被災地の復興に向けお役に立てるよう努めて参ります。

一日も早く日常生活に戻られる事をお祈り申し上げます。

Japan-America-Society of Oregon is saddened to see the damages caused by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that took place on the New Year’s Day. We express  our deepest sympathy to everyone affected by the tragedy and those who are working tirelessly in the rescue efforts. We intend to provide the support we can to restoration efforts through our activities  in the future.

We sincerely hope normal conditions can be restored for those affected as soon as possible.

We know also that everyone in our sister-state of Toyama is focused on emergency management and care at this time. We will support, and will soon announce plans as we get clarity on the exact nature of and damage from the earthquake.
